Default KS. pre-rut bruser, before and after pics.

Made my annual trip back to the farm in KS. and I finally connected with a buck that KS. is known for. I hunted 3 days, mornings and evenings, and had shot a doe first evening out. I did see one other shooter buck that same evening, but he never got close enough for a shot. My buddy that lives back there went with me on the 3rd evening hunt and filmed for me. The evening I shot him was cloudy, windy, and kind of miserable to be in a tree stand, and this buck was the only deer we saw, right before sundown. He came from the only direction that we couldn't see far through the trees and leaves that are still on and when I first saw him, he was only about 25 yards away, and coming very slowly. The shot was 17 yards, and the buck never had a clue what happened. The Magnus Snuffer SS broadhead smoked through him like butter and he ran about 150 yards. No idea what he'll score, but I did measure the inside spread and it's right at 23". Turns out that my buddy had several trail cam. pics. of this buck from a camera about 1.25 miles away.
