So why even try the Rage? If you are so happy with the Muzzy's, and they give you great grouping, why try something else? I love Spitfires. I've killed many deer with them and love the way they shoot. I'm not going to experiment with another broadhead, even out of curiosity, because I have been successful with them for years.

I am calling BS! If you are not able to see the blades open in flight (which they maybe or may not be) and I am assuming they are NOT, because if they were then I would also assume you would fix that problem before you shot again.......then what you are claiming happened is NOT POSSIBLE

Stick with your muzzy's, they are a great head as well. You can ship me your 2 rage heads and the practice head...I will pay for shipping!

First off I do not shoot Muzzy's. I wanted to see if what some people clamed about blood trails a blind man can follow was true.

I said I suspected that is what was happening, I did not say I saw it happening. Besides if I had known that this was even a possibility I would not have wasted the time with them. Seams like a very serious design flaw. As far as giving you the heads dream on they went in the mail yesterday to Rage, they will refund your money if you are not happy. Oh and again I do not shot Muzzy's.

Hi to everyone. I am new to this forum. Just wanted to post my 2 cents to this thread. I bought the 2 blade rage broadheads this year to try them out. I am color deficient and thought they might help with tracking. I shot a doe down in Maryland this year at 33 yards. She was hit right behind the front shoulder and about a third of the way up. Got a complete pass thru on her. She left a massive blood trail and I would have seen her fall if not for the terrain and thick cover. She went 40 yards. Heard her fall. I then shot a large bodied 6pt hear in PA. The buck was 15 yards. I believe I hit a branch on the shot. Hit the buck in the spine just behind the front shoulder. Needless to say he dropped on the spot. Head completely penetrated the thick part of the spine. Head was still in good shape except was extremely dull. So far have had great experience with them. For me they shot the same as the practice tips.

BTW. I shoot a Matthews Legacy at 70#s, gold tip 5575 arrows at 29.5 inches.

oh its clear for me but i'm not the one with the problem shooting!! LOL... And 100% positive--I would love to compare trophy rooms!! Before you say something like that you should know what kind of hunter your dealing with.... I would hate to hurt your confidance anymore then it already is!

I'm not tuning pro, but i believe you problem is in the next quote. I'll explain after.

If you went up in head weight your weakening the spine of your arrow. If you boarderline light on the spine and go up in head weight you'll have flight issues due to a weak spined arrow.

PS...... I'm no Rage fan, by any stretch of the imagination.

You are absolutely correct. That is one of the first thing I looked at. The specifications and calculations showed I would be fine up to about a 135 grain head. But at that point the FOC would be way out of wack.
