Well unfortunately I wasnt the one who harvested him but I am absolutley tickled that it was my dad who got him. I have probably 100 pictures of this deer. I first got him on camera back in early july and then he disapeared for about a month in a half from august until the beggining of october. He showed back up in early october and I just got a bunch of pictures of him monday night on a scrape. He rough scores 195" gross and estimated weight of 240 pounds. My dad was getting ready to shoot a really big 8 point when he heard something behind him and looked and saw this big guy. He had to think about it for oh about a split second and decided the 18 pointer was better than the 8 pointer. The shot was about 25 yards and the deer piled up with in 50 yards.

Im not sure, we thought the same thing when we got that picture. I think he was just not very photogenic, kinda looked like a fairy deer. I can assure you he bulked up since then. I picked up a scale and his field dressed wieght was 230 pounds and his neck measured 32 inches around. Live weight was pretty close to 300 pounds.

Nice buck, congrats to your dad! It could be worse...a lucky neighbor, a poacher, or an automobile could have gotten him, so consider yourself fortunate that it was you dad that scored on him!

If you look real close it looks like a doe with artificial antlers screwed on. In the first picture w the father you can see a metal screw on the left side. Is someone trying to trick us? haha
