    If not HIT by a car, maybe it was avoiding the car by leaping high into the air...and it just so happened to land in a tree!

    A few years back on my way home from work one morning I watched a pick up truck hit a doe and toss her across 3 lanes of traffic and into the side window of a minivan... pretty wild ..

    we found a 6 point hangin in a tree one time...looked like he was rubbin his velvet off and got stuk...he wasnt in a tree like that..but was hangin 4 feet off the ground

    wow that is crazy, they certainly can jump high. I had been wondering where the deer have gone lately, guess i gotta start looking in trees
