Saturday morning started out very cold here for me but I got in the stand at 6:00 am by the time it got day light I had squirrels everywhere at 7:30 a small doe came out into my food plot but didnt stay long and browsed away but within 10 minutes she was right under my stand. She left and I was hoping for one of the 4 bucks I had saw the evening before to come by. I had sat in my stand on Friday evening to see what was using there and I had an 8 point a 5 a 7 and a spike nothing really big but I would have settled for either. I sat here until 10:00 and the only thing that came in after the first one was another little one even smaller then the first. I came back home and ate breakfast and waited until 3:30 to get dressed and go back I got in the stand at 4:15 strapped myself in pulled up my bow and place an arrow on then turned around to hang my quiver up, sat down and put on my glove and release put my face mask on and looked around and there was the 7 point coming in. It took him less then 5 minutes to come in and turn broadside at 25 yards. I let fly with the acc 349 tipped with a 100 grain shockwave expandable he went less then 20 yards and my day of hunting was over. Not a hugh 7 but respectable to me a great first day of hunting finished off with a good kill. In the stand at 4:15 gutting deer at 4:30 someone was for sure smiling on me Saturday.
