...I found him. I shot this buck last year on November 10. Hit him in the shoulder. I was out today looking around and stumbled on him. I remember his G2's being very long and his right side being weaker than his left. I thought he was an eight, but a big six. I guess better late than never??

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...although he would have dropped his antlers and regrew them if he made it through the winter...and those are pretty chalky.

My daughter had the same thing happen a few years back,it was her first deer that was actually found by a farmer almost 1 year to the day later.Amazingly enough,it hadn't been touched by mice or squirrels.

Here is how it sits in her room.We did nothing to it,just put it on her dresser.

I shot this buck at 1705 on November 10, 08 at 11 yds. I hit him in the shoulder with a cx 250 out of a katera at 64# with an st 100. I got 7" of penetration, followed a good blood trail for about 60 yds, then the buck stared zig zagging bad. Lost the trail shortly there after. Looked for 2 days with help. The hide on the deer was the only hide anywhere to be found. He was in a field next to a stream and the head/rack were laying on the right side. Skeleton was mostly scattered. I only found the skull, some vertebrae, ribs and back femurs. I'm really suprised that nothing gnawed on his antlers.

Better late than never. Now you can stop wondering what happened to him!
