i dont mean to put down...but for 8 or 10 sits and no deer either a) your really not in a good spot or b) you need to consider re-vising your scent control c) your kidding yourself and your land isn't that good.
w/ that bein said i hope things turn around.
i have sat proly 9 or 10 times this season. i average probably 3 or 4 deer a sit, and have seen as much as 10+ a sit

Same thing everywhere
I have been on vacation all week in Northwest Arkansas and have seen nothing but tree rats!! The area I hunt is the same as last year, but this time last year you couldn't get out there and see less than twenty a day, morning or night. I don't know what has changed their pattern so much, but I was so frustrated this morning I thought about selling my bow We have muzzeloader season starting here tomorrow morning with temps in the low 30's, so hopefully that will get them on their feet.

Same thing for me last year. One thing for sure is that every time you hunt a stand your chances go down. Keep trying new locations if you're not seeing deer. Its better to spend a little time in a hot spot than to spend a lot of time in a cold spot. Hang in there.
Also don't be afraid to take some time off during mid October and recharge mentally. You don't want to get burned out before the rut even starts!

I sat a couple spots over looking apple trees where I always saw deer in years past. I only saw one deer right at dark. I then moved into the oak trees where the acorns were dense. Bingo!! Last night I thought I was hunting in a deer park....deer were feeding heavy on the acorns.
Hang in there and good luck.
