Default 5 Years Coming

Hey all My name is jake and last night about 30 minutes in stand I put the hammer down on a beautiful Iowa whitetail.

The senario plays out like this. Monday night I went out for the first time to a spot in the middle of some woods and set up on the ground about twenty yards off a small food plot. That night I had two yearlings at 5 yards dead down wind a small 6 down wind of me and a couple others that just meandered by. This was the best night of hunting I have ever had. I couldn't go tuesday due to work so i planned my day on wednesday. I would get out around 2:30 set up my stand and get ready. As usual I was a little late so when I finally got my stand up at 4 I was sure I took to long. To pass the time I got my phone out and played some blockbreaker and waited. It had been about 25 minutes since I got settled and I heard something galoping through the woods it happened to be a good doe so I went to full draw and tried to stop her to no avail. Discouraged I let down and put my bow back on my lap I had no more than put my bow down when I heard something coming through the woods. I picked up my bow and saw what I thought was a decent bodied fork buck I went to full draw gave a bleat and released my arrow as soon as he planted his foot and here is my result after the rage two blade went to work.
