The full moon was on the 4th. This will bring a very small percentage of does into estrous. 90% of them will come in on the next full moon which is November 2nd. That's when you will see the most activity. The full moon in December will also trigger any that haven't come in yet. Usually the fawns that were born in the spring come in on this one. Not a surprise to see it happening now but it is slim.

ABSOLUTELY possible .... example;

My female pup is not in heat yet ... but she must be starting as my male started paying special attention to her ...."chasing" if you will ... I can call him off her now ...but when she is READY ... FORGET IT. BTW, she wont be ready for about another 3 weeks .. she hasn't even started spotting yet ..

Whitetails aren't in "The Chase Phase" yet ..... but they are still testing the waters if you will ... look at all the deer kills poppin up now ....
