You're right. That's why I posted this... one should stay on the trail. It bothers me greatly that I was willing to quit the trail to keep my friends happy. (They needed to get up at 3am to hunt in the morning and I didn't want them to be mad that I was keeping them out.) If I were by myself, I would have definitely kept on the trail because I would have been only wasting my own time if the trail proved fruitless.

I did give Deb a big hug and told her I owe her the next 10 lunches. (we buy lunch for who ever gets a deer that day)

Great message its all to often i hear people tell me about deer they couldnt find or dont think they hit well enough to kill and that they just gave up looking for them!!!!!!! Congrats on Deer though!!!!
