good to know, i never had a deer go more than75 yrds on me, and they didnt need 2 hours or more to die, i was right on em and they wernt goin n e where. but it is a good 1 to put on the score card

last night i sat out in misty 20 mph winds and seen close to 40 deer and a majority of them we out in the bean fields. most of them came out right before the heavy rain but as soon as a little rumble of thunder came they went running for cover. seen some nice bucks too.

I love hunting during heavy rain. The deer are hunkered down in the heaviest cover that thet can find. They are no different than people in that respect. Not too keen on getting wet. I find them in the pines,spruce, cedars bedded down. A plus, is that "most" of the other "hunters" don't want to get their feathers wet, so, the area is mine. Occasionally find one out in the open fields, but most times a short walk is in order, followed bu a short drag.
