Default Tickling the Antlers...

Anybody been slightly tickling the antlers together yet to duplicate sparring??

Any luck?

Thanks

I haven't had a chance to do any real hunting yet, but season opens in Arkansas the day after tomorrow, and I'll be there. My brother has gotten two pics of two different sets of bucks sparring on his trail camera. That tells me that its not too early here.

I watched two bucks "tickle" there antlers together just last week. So i think it would be ok to do it. But how productive its gonna be is the question.

I've had a few bucks run in looking for a fight but I've seen more run the other way so I use rattling/tickling as a very last resort when the calls have failed.

That said, my season (PA) doesn't open til this Saturday. Good luck to those out already.

I did some light rattling about a week ago and about five minutes later a 2.5 year old eight came in and rubbed a tree sixty yards away. I don't know if he came into the rattling though.
