Congrats on a real nice buck! You handled the tracking situation perfectly. I read way too many post's about folks pushing their deer because they didn't allow near enough time for it to expire.

Where in Western WI are you located?

I hunt in LaCrosse, Vernon, and Buffalo (when my friend allows me to) counties. And I go to school at UW-LaCrosse

Congrats! If you got to 15-20 yards and he was still living, I bet you wished you had brought your bow with you to finish the job, huh? I almost always keep mine with me for the tracking job.

Cool... I hunted there last night, right on the river by UU. Seen one doe only, but once the frost and the rut come I think it will be go time!
