Ill have several come and go on my land. All depends on their scheduals.

I am nearly always the host on weekends. During the week, I am either the hunter or the camera man. I thoroughly enjoyed and plan to enjoy again the York trip to TWild's outfitters, it's my "hunting trip" for the year as a married man with a young child, I am years away from being able to afford to take a trip west, but this is a great little getaway with good friends.
|
Um me and my dad. We have great memories.
And i'll meet many people that come to hunt the same private land as me. |
Been my dads hunting buddy since I was around four, so for about 25 years now and will be for as long as the man up stairs allows us.....the best thing about it... I now have children of my own!!! Two Boys and a girl... my boys are 6 and 3 and already go with us...little porkchop my girl cant wait to get out there I can already tell.... And I have a slew of friends and other family members that we entertain as well... Isn't great!!! :)
|
well my dad hunts with me during gun season and me and my brother do some during the bowseason and sometimes some of my friends will come on the weekends but im usually alone 70% of the time
|
I hunt with my dad and a few buddies a lot and have them come hunt at my place fairly often. I always wanted to get out and hunt other places even if it was the same state or surrounding states.

:cool2: Carrying your oldest out for youth day this saturday? |
On the opening weekend, for the last 10 years or so, I have hosted 2 or three friends. I have an old friend that has joined me about half the time, but the other guys kind of rotate in and out based on life's situations. I usually try to put them on deer, because most of them have never hunted before they met me. I have been with three guys for their first deer. I love that more than killing them myself.
|
Unfortunately he has a soccer game that day soooooooooo we might be able to get him and atleast the camera in the woods that afternoon :)
|
I hunt alone mostly now... Dad and Grandpa retired from hunting years ago. Was making the trip to the big woods every year with my cousin, but he's hunting different areas now.
I would love to have some of you guys up here, but I don't have any property and very limited access to anything other than Game Lands. Kinda Sucks |
Tim,
I am so looking forward to coming down again with Ben. As you know, I'm not necessarily there to kill deer but I am there for the good time that is inevitable. :guiness: I'm hosting Preacher Tony and I usually have Q2INWHITETAILS as well. Matt / PA won't be able to make it this year but I have open invites out to many. It's not an easy hunt but I can promise a good time and great food. :) I have in the past put a guys biggest buck to date in front of him but the connection wasn't made. Unfortunately, it takes planing for out of staters to come to PA because doe tags are a draw and bucks are not easy to come by. Fortunately, Preacher Tony made those plans and has doe tags. ;-) |
Just me, dad, uncle and brother. Land is too scarce in east central Indiana to open up the 100 acres we have access to to allow other to come in. We just don't have the room.
|
I pretty much just hunt alone. Every once in a great while a friend will go, but that is becoming a rare occasion.

This year PT is going to stop in also, as Rob stated with the Doe tags, PT was not able to secure a doe tag here, they sell out rather quick before non residence can apply for them, so PT will stop here first on his way to ROB's. |
Maybe if we offer PT a few doe tags he'll show up at next years GTG.....LOL:) (Had an opening and had to take it PT)
Chris I hope by now you have received a few paychecks. |
I'll be taking two friends on two seperate hunts in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks: First hunt Muzzle L. Oct 17-23, second hunt Oct 30-nov 7.
My solo hunts there will be Nov 11-19, and Nov 27-Dec 6 ( my favorite time ) |

Wow That's very generous Chris... I may just take you up on that one of these days. We'll have to work out the details. Maybe I can alteast get down one evening to meet PT and show him I'm not at all a scary guy. :)
|
I let a couple of my buddies mooch some hunting time out of my stands. I run the deer out of those area's before they get there though! LOL Especially if I haven't arrowed one yet! LMAO!
|
I am "entertaining" my girlfriend, who is new into archery and bow hunting. So I am an instructor this year too.

:guiness:Hosting:rock:
I'll be hosting my bud whom is also a shooter for Bowtech and were hoping to video 2 deer over 170 for the Bowtech site for Diamond & Bowtech. This will be the second time in 4 years he's been up with me for a hunt. Last time he passed on quite a few that were in the 140 range and he never got to see anything bigger. He's also with Scent-loc this time. Maybe he'll have something for me from Scent-loc to try out!!!! J/k:violin:I can only wish.:bash: Hopefully he'll connect with one our big bodied deer were known for,we'll be huntingfor 2 weeks from the 12th till the 29th of November.:barmy: Rocky |

Doug i sent you a PM i hope we can work something out!!!!!!!!! |
I'd say almost everyhunt I'll do in pa I'll be by myself. Just don't have many friends that are very dedicated and will sit for any length of time... 45 minutes seems to be about what they're good for.... So usually I hunt alone.
Ryan. |
My family owns 3 farms and about 850 acres...We raise corn, soybeans, peanuts, cotton and wheat so we take 40-50 deer a year off these farms...
One of the farms has a cabin with outside water and electricity... For 25 years or so we have had guests hunt with us...I have 2 buddies that I have taken each year for 20 years...We have had some great times and have also been there when one buddy's wife had breast cancer and the other lost his wife... Lord willing, we have another 20 years in us... |
I hunt alone....with nobody else....you know when I hunt alone....I prefer to be by myself!!
I hunt alone. |
I usually hunt with buddies, mostly my Dad and brother. But other great friends are always around also. We take anyone who wants to go with us and try our best to set them up on a deer. We used to host a "Wheelin Sportsman" event and had about 10-15 guys out in one weekend. Of course down here (bama) we have access to lots of acres and plenty of guys to take and to go with from church. Our website is www.huntchristiancreek.com
BTW if you needed one, theres another reason to go to church! ; ) |

I usually hunt alone. I have a friend who has hunted with me for several years, but he has pretty much quit hunting since he and his wife have separated. I deer and turkey hunt my 200 acres pretty much by myself, which for the most part I prefer. I like to host and guide every now and then.
