Sometimes some "higher ups" don't know EVERYTHING that is going on, what you find out may surprise you on this one I suspect.... I am thinking the best bet, from a safety standpoint, is too just move my stand, but I still believe that who ever is hunting illegally will still see the same deer as me just because it is right off of my land. They're the STATE'S deer not yours, I wouldn't get too wrapped around this point..... Another issue is that I am not sure how they get to this stand. It is about a half a mile to any road. And that road is on the other side of my property. If I had to bet, they probably get to the stand via my land. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find this out? |
Make sure your land is posted up tight. I personally would not move my stand but that is up to you. When you see where he comes from, if he crosses your land tell him not to do it anymore and don't come back. If he does, call the game warden on him.

I would bring it up to the brick company. Then, just to be safe, I would move my stand farther away from the property line to keep away from future problems

Safety standpoint? Man, just be straight, you don't want him hunting there because its a good spot feeding your property, and you want him gone. I don't think 50 yards is any kind of safety issue. |
