No comparison. Crossbow is more like a gun than a bow. Still have to draw a bow, hold it (regardless of let-off), etc. Also much harder to aim a bow than a crossbow, IMHO.

Yes, compound shooters are inferior to stick bow shooters.[:o] Compounds that have more than 65% let-off (because that' s what I shoot;)) are just like shooting high powered rifles[:o][X(]:([&:]

Seriously NO! I have never had to worry about how I gripped a crossbow or whether or not my anchor was correct etc. That' s a bunch of garbage.

No, they are not the same. I' ve had numerous shoulder surgerys and back surgerys and gave serious thought of getting a cross bow. I shot a Ten Point Stealth several times and it was a breeze to shoot. Put a scope on these and you can hit just about anything within 50 yards. But they are LOUD. If you' ve ever been around anyone who dry fired his compound bow, the sounds are comparable. As far as folks saying its like a gun, I' d have to disagree. The " bolt" can easily be deflected by twigs and it drifts in wind like an arrow. It might be comparable to an old fashioned muzzle loader (not the modern in-lines) as long as the target is within the 50 yard limit. I would like to have one someday when my ship comes in, but the high end crossbows are as expensive as a new Mathews LX. Who knows, I' m still buying those lottery tickets.:D

Nope,

I can' t shoulder a compound of any let off. Can' t pre draw a compound hours in advance.
