My first pin is set at 20yds-i can hold that pin on a target at 30yds and hit maybe an inch low-maybe. draw wt 69lbs -draw length 30 inches. I also shoot a heavy splined arrow with 100gr head.

I shoot a Bowtech General @ 72# and a 29" draw with a CX Termiator Hunter LITE, (9.4 gpi), and can go out to 27 yrds with the first pin...

I shoot a Bowtech Guardian set at 71.5 lbs, draw length is 31 inches. I shoot Vapor by Blackhawk 5000's arrows and 100 grain Rage. I can shoot about 24 yards without adjusting.

I have a 20 yard pin sighted in. I shoot 276 fps, 67# with a 403 grain arrow. I can shoot fairly flat out to 25 yards. I have another pin for 30 yards

I shoot a 375 grain arrow 258 fps @ 28" draw and 58#'s.

My first pin is set at 23 yards.here is how my trajectory plays out.

5 yards= 1/2" low Low is due to sight paralax
10 yards= 1" high
15 yards= 2" high
20 yards= 1" high
23 yards dead on
25 yards= 1 1/4" low
30 yards= 4 1/2" low

So I set a 23/30/35/40 yard pins and a 55 yarder for fun.Pretty clear to see that there really isn't such a thing as flat and according to my trajectory,it is pretty clear why I have a 30 yard pin.

I've always heard to set your first pin at 18 yrds so your right on top of things. I set mine to te kind of shots I expect to make based on any info I have. One year I was sure I'd need to make almost a forty yarder. Deer stood at 38.

This year it's 26.

You know this defies the laws of physics.I had this same discussion with HardcoreHunter and he came around after we figured out his 20 was actually sighted in high.Which means it was probably more like 26-27 yards.I ran numbers and that isn't even possible at 400 fps.
