JeffB,

Your friend is very blessed to have someone like you in his corner and we are all very blessed to have a God we can turn to in our time of need. Will be praying for your friend's entire family and you as well.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

No news yet- I'm not sure if "no news is good news" or not. I will try his wife again this evening.

Thanx to all! And will post something when I hear it

Update-

Last Thursday, they discharged Dave from the Hospital as he was fever free for a few days citing "it's just a virus and you will have to wait it out". He still had some fluid in his lungs, and the fluid around his heart as well as the inflammation of the pericarditis (though it was less than when he went in).

Unfortunately Sunday his fever returned and his condition worsened again, and he was taken to a different hospital and admitted again Sunday night. When I talked with his wife yesterday afternoon (and she was going on 36 hours without sleep), they had just taken him down to do a CAT scan and they were contemplating trying to remove some of the fluid mass around his heart (again). They have some new Dr's that the wife seems a bit more confident in, but it seems they are back to square one

Thank you all for your prayers and concern- I'm hoping I've got better news to post the next time.
