practicing frequency
 

I only practice maybe 3 times right before bow season, as I've shot the same setup for close to a decade. I haven't ever owned another bow, although all of my friends upgrade every other year. I've shot so much in the past that i feel I can't get much better and familar with it. Anybody else not practice much anymore?

If I still shot a compound....I'd do just like you (only to check equip.).

Since this has been a relatively mild summer, I started shooting a little earlier than normal this year. My bow case is next to the door leading to the deck and the targets are up in the back yard so I can get a few rounds in after I get home from work. I've probably been shooting 10-15 arrows 2-3 times per week for the past month.

Normally I would have started last weekend.

I used to shoot once a week year round, but I live too far to go to the club now. I have been shooting once or twice a week for the last couple of months.

I shoot pretty much everyday year round.

And I still suck.... haha....

I shoot about 4 times a week. Each session is a bit different. I have been doing alot of close up practice just practicing my form and release. Sometimes it is strictly my 3-D targets more so as hunting season gets closer. Other times it is just shooting at the block. I also vary my practice with a Zenith BT and my Tru Ball Pro Diamond.

I shoot in 3 300 leagues a year. that's 60 arrows every wed night, and sometimes on sat too. so i pretty much shoot all year round. although the few months leading up to hunting season my friends and i start to do the 3d shoots as well. i live in the city so it's very hard for me to shoot in the backyard. my season opens Oct 12.

I begin shooting my recurve-Damon Howat Super Diablo- in June,:deer: almost every day, 20-24 arrows til season starts, after that, when ever I can.

I really enjoy shooting, so I do it quite often. As far as staying proficient, I don't need to shoot as much as I do, but I still do. Usually about 3-4 times a week average.

I average 75 arrows/day. I shot 88 arrows, earlier....and I'll blank bale another 30 or so, tonight.

I do this for 2 reasons:

1. I like shooting this bow.
2. I HAVE to.
