70-80 yards... and I'm a world champ in the back yard.

I'll blow a shot at 20 yards if you give me the chance on a deer.

80 yard practice is an equipment thing.... not really a me thing. Ain't hardly a place I bowhunt I can see much more than 25 yards.

I used to practice out to 80 yds., but a bout of target panic quickly cut that distance in half over the last few seasons. This year I have been practicing out to 40 yds. Been worrying much more about form and execution than distance. I will tell you this though Practicing those extra long shots if you are capable makes a 30 yarder seem like a piece of cake.

I practice shots mostly at the 50-60 range and do about 3 at the 65-70 range. When I get closer to the season I shoot maybe a dozen arrows maintaining form and capitalizing on few arrows.

I also believe in doing some short distance shooting with more of a focus on my draw, anchor and release.

I practice out to 60, but 30 yards is my max on a live animal right now. I hope to get to where I am comfortable at 40, but that will come when it comes.

I've got pins that go out to 60 yards and that's how far I practice shooting out to. Honestly though my average shot on whitetails is 30 yards and closer...I just enjoy shooting out farther.

I was just practicing out to 75 yards with the target turned to the narrow side. It really helps tighten up my thirty yard groups.

50 and 60 yards are the distances I most commonly practice at.

I practice and will shoot as well at the 35 yard mark. I hunt from the ground as a rule and with 30 - 35 yard shots I never had a problem hitting the kill zone..

I shoot consistently 25-35-45 yds with Broadheads practicing at a 6" styro Circle. I do shoot some at 50 & 55 also. I rarely take a shot over 25 yds-just have not had to BUT I have killed 2 Elk at 35 yds & a Buffalo at 41 yds & a few Whitetails at around 35 yds. Mule Deer (13, I think) have averaged between 30-40 yds). I've taken 15 Wild Hogs & only 1 was at 25 yds-all the rest have been like 20 & under.
2 Deer last year-1 @ 25 yds & 1 @ 10 yds. 2 Hogs last year 1@ 10 feet & 1@ 5 yds.

I would have no problem shooting 50 yds if everything was perfect but would probably pass & hope for a closer shot.
