Ferguson has a gift for sure & I have only seen him on several occassions on TV . When growing up I saw some of the feats Howard hill did-he also was "one of a kind".
I did do some special shooting events-barebow & sight-stick bows, many years ago-but nothing to compare with these fellas. Some ARE tricks & others are PURE GOD GIVEN TALENT.

When I was about 15 years old our family went to a P&Y convention In Seattle Washington and I got to meet Asbell. At that time Asbell was the president of the P&Y club. My dad and him have talked a good number of times at different P&Y conventions, my dad can't say enough good things about the guy. My old man Is one of those guys who won't give anyone the time of a day that has a chip on their shoulder, Asbell has none of that from what I've seen. He's actually a very quite guy, not at all out spooken like many on here are or other big named people In the Industry.

Meet him a pritive event, and its a tad different. Maybe its just me.

He was hovering over me trying to give me advise on selfbows, just because he knows Glen St. Charles well. In fact, there was nothing he didn't know. Now, I admit, I have only made 5 selfbows, but he was even offering advise on shooting. And I myself cannot stand his shooting style with high grip and the swing shot.

No biggy Mark, we all have our own opinions on what we think of people. There's a few other well known hunters that I've made remarks on that I didn't care for In the least and man do I get flamed for saying It.

I've seen him shoot in person the past 4 years, and his shows are always fun to watch. Hope is back next year, so I can watch him again.

LOL...

At our state shoot.....I brought my pig cooker and fired up a bunch of Boston butts. The guys who put it on came over to me (during the tough-man shoot) and asked if I was the one doing the cooking. "Yeah".

"Great! .....'cause we're hosting G Fred Asbell, this weekend....and wondered if we could bring him by for some NC barbecue".

I was floored.....lol. I would NEVER invite myself and/OR guests to someone else's party.

I just said...."Well....did you bring some (barbecue)"? "All I have is spoken for ....with the guys we have in camp. But I'll cook anything you wanna throw on there"!

Silence.

Fine.

See ya.

Ive read up on G. Fred. I do the swing draw thing....but I did that before reading or knowing he "coined" it. He was also at ATAR....and I met him, there. Ho hum. I think it's weird he peddles the things he does. Seems that way, to me.

Cool video. Those shooting the lifesaver out of the air shots always amaze me.
