Early Season in Kentucky
I'll be hunting in south central to southwestern Kentucky in early Sept. next year. I've never hunted this early before; Archery starts Oct. 1 here in RI. Any thoughts or tips will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thermacell or some good mosquito repellant!!! Also, dress light cuz the humidity can make an evening hunt, or sometimes morning as well just NASTY!
Other than that, just get out there and embrace the opportunity to hunt for another month!

BUT,be prepared for cool temps as well. You might easily see 20 deg swings in the temp in 1 sit.
But we never had that for our H&H get together. It just stayed HOT.

TFox is right the weather can change quickley. Crops will be coming out of the fields so find the major trails leading to the fields and hang a stand. What county in KY. will you be hunting.

Like said before, a thermacell is a MUST! Have some nice lightweight camo cuz you will most likely be sweating haha
The deer are mostly still in their summer routine, so if you get the chance to scout around and maybe glass a couple fields in the evening and see a nice buck or two. He should stick nearby for the first week or two of the season.
