Default Rage broadheads

I have a bear showdown set at 65lbs. Would anyone recommend rage broadheads for this setup? Would it be enough to penetrate effectively? Should I just stick with fixed blade? Thanks for any replies

id go with the 3 blade. Penetrates easier... Just for that extra bit of confidence in your setup.

You could use the new 1.5'' cut 2 blade.

I am shooting Rage 2-blade in my 62# and have never failed to have complete pass-throughs on all my shots.

I had buddy huntign with 55#s and rage two blades and got a complete pass through on a 120# doe last year on the opener at 25yds you will be fine but you might get a lot of rage haters on this site telling you other wise
here is pic of the deer he took on right and mine taken same day almost same time with rage two blade 70#
The buck is an exit wound I shot with my 70# at 5 yds

The 2 blade Rage is a good head. The 3 blade is not so good. If you look at it from a postion that the more moving parts the more problems you can have. Is a true statement when it comes to mechanicals.

It comes down to what works for you and your set up. Shoot differant heads and pick one from there. What ever head you pick make sure you practice with it.

I will be trying the rage 2 blade this year. I will be shooting them out of my Hoyt Vtec set at 60 pounds.

Im actually gonna shoot the 2 blades this year oppossed to the 3's from last year. I will have about 25 more fps than i did last year, and i feel confident that i wont have pass thru issues!

I shot 3 times last season with the 3 blades and bagged 3 deer.... They worked incredibly well for me... Im hoping the 2's do the same.

I should have 90 or more #'s of KE this season... Not that its anywhere necesarry, but will never hurt to have it!

To each his own... My experience with the rage has been great!
