What' s your favorite Camo pattern
As requested by T-23.
Which do you perfer and what are the circumstances for useing it? |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I voted for the Realtree Xtra for the simple reason that I think it is a relatively open pattern with excellent color combinations for my hunting area. I like both the Xtra Brown and Xtra Gray for the various times of the year.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I voted for MOBU simply because I' ve used it for years and if it aint broke , why fix it.[8D]
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Mossy oak break up just what I have always used!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I have fallen in love w/ Natural Gear. I think many of the new camo is creating shadows unnaturally. Nat Gear just seems to blend more well NATURALLY.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Predator Fall Brown.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
None of the above..... APPARITION!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
They all look great. But camo is really over-rated IMHO.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I have most all of the realtree patterns. I have had good luck with advantage. Bow season here is 4 1/2 months long. The woods change from green to brown to gray from summer to fall and winter. I change my camo as the woods change.
But deer do not see color. THEY SEE MOVEMENT. Been hunting many years and have had many deer walk right up to me within 15 to 30 yards as I sat on the ground against a big tree. They never saw the BLAZE ORANGE vest that I had on. Of course I was hunting with a shotgun :( please dont rag on me too bad. But if you dont move they cant see you no matter what you have on. If you can see the deers eye he can see you move. Dont move until he cant see you. At very close range on the ground like less than 25 yards I think deer cant see hardly anything but a big blur. I have been surprised by deer while I was walking down old logging roads and I quickly drop to one knee and sometimes the deer just cant spot me at close range. But I have been picked out of my treestand from far away many times. I think deer have power vision and see way better from distances than they do up close. Any how I think that camo makes hunters feel more confident and that is good. But if you dont move much and control your scent you could wear a flannel shirt and jeans and get very close to deer. |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Other, Natgear. Gotta love that lizard. It works really well in the more open country that I hunt in. The colors are right and it does not look like a big black blob at a distance.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I voted for the Mossy Oak breakup. I really like to dark shadows. The area I hunt is right in the middle of the Lake Superior snow belt of Wisconsin.....that being said, I love the old grungy snow camo I have. Not even sure what brand it is though. LOL!!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Predator Fall Brown or Deception.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
i like my mossy oak breakup
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I like the realtree hardwoods!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Mostly what ever is on sale when I need some new camo. I do really like the Predator line up.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I voted other because I will only use ASAT
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
All I use is Predator Brand Camo.
A couple of reasons. One is I believe outline break up vs. blend in technology provides the best concealment. The second reason is their patterns work great for my areas. Fall gray, winter white patterns work well due to a lot of white based trees and willows where I hunt whitetails and mulies in bush/treed areas. Fall Brown is dynamite in the large rolling hills and field come fall in bow and ML season here. Also I use their spring green up north when I hunt the pines and it simply is the best pattern for that area I have ever found. |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Realtree Hardwoods Green for Spring and Early Fall, And when the leaves come off the trees and it is late fall and winter I wear Realtree Hardwoods. Don' t really care for Mossy Oak Break up I think it makes you look like a big black blob.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
i like advantage especially with my 3d suit, it work great it also mixes well with advantage timber
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I use a mix of predator and natgear. Best camo you can use is to move as little as possible. Doesn' t matter what you use if you move you' re gonna get busted.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I chose mossy oak break up. But after seeing my friends ASAT camo, I think I may be switching before the season!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I chose " other " because I use ASAT.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
They all look great. But camo is really over-rated IMHO. |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
ASAT[8D]
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
ASAT
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I don' t even know[X(] There is no option for that[:@]
I got a bunch of different ones, I never match in the woods[:-] I think I like the hardwoods, but I couldn' t name on if I tried. See my picture - nothing matches[:o] - stupid deer[:o][:-]:) |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I' ll play dumb. What is ASAT, Please show a pic. I think I know but want to be sure
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Mossy Oak Break up. The dark seems to blend very well in the shadows. Even in early season when the leaves are still green.
That being said.......I don' t think it matters much. I believe the 3D camo ( leafy wear, etc.) works the best regardless of camo pattern. Deer see movement, not color. |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I like Realtree Hardwoods simply because it blends into my surroundings and keeps my silhouette from standing out. Deer may not see colors but they can make out objects that don' t look like everything else around them.
Where' s Waldo! |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Predator Green in early season because of the green foliage, Realtree Hardwoods when the leaves start turning, and in early winter Predator Fall Grey.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I use alot of Realtree Hardwoods HD but I started incorporating some Natural Gear
camo at times. I liked the NG and will probably use it more often. |
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
ASAT camo is awesome year round!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I like Advantage Timber for early season hunting here in KY. I use it in the spring & early fall. I also like Realtree Hardwoods, and Predator, ASAT, and SKyline. For tree stand hunting I like a more open pattern like the ASAT, Predator, and Skyline. ASAT is a great all around big game pettern, and Timber works great in evergreens. You can mix & match allof them & I am not bran loyal to any of them. I might have Mossy Oak pants on and a Timber Shirt or any other configuration!
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I' ll stick with Mossy Oak Break-Up. It really blends in well in the area that I hunt. I' ve had good results with it so why change.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
ASAT. Once you try it, you' ll never go back.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
I just returned from Cabela' s and saw the Mossy Oak " NEW" Break Up pattern and its awesome! Have my eye on a set of pants and jacket. Scent Lok, Gortex, major money though.[:o] But the new break up pattern is great. Check it out.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
You needed to add more patterns, as OTHER is beating all of the designer patterns. I personally like the ASAT, Predator Brown and Natgear. IMO I think these are better than the rest.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
Predator Deception and Fall Brown. Glad to see Cabela' s is including it again in their fall archery catalog. I like it for not only the pattern but the number of pockets and their location that their pants and jackets have.
|
RE: What' s your favorite Camo pattern
My favorite camo is " whatever is on sale in my size" .
