35 metres shot a rabbit in the head. I only take long shots on rabbits but restrict myself to 20 metres or less on larger Australian game.

iwas shooting at an excellent 8 sitting in my brother in laws stand...shh!!! i shot the buck at 35 yards the only problem was that he was standing at 25 yards to i missed clean over his back. i guess thats what i get for sneaking into someone elses stand.

I knew we had a westerner here somewhere.....:D

I shot a doe at 40, and a maimed BB at 38.5yds verified by my rangefinder from about 45ft above him last year.

Out west I've killed some animals at some distances in the wide open plains. Won't throw out any numbers as I really don't want the Ethics evanglists preaching to me.

Ehtical shots require consideration of a lot of variables, and only one is the distance. Many unethical shots are taken every year at less than 30 yards.

If I take a shot I have all the confidence in the world that arrow will find it's mark or Iwon't let it go.;)

52 yards on an American Bison and he went 50 yds. 26" draw, 65lbs., 100 gr Muzzy...slightly quartering away and buried in the boiler room.....I was pleasantly surprised at the result!!!![/align]

34 yards on a buck about 5-6 years ago. 30 yards on a doe 2 years ago. Every other shot I have taken has been less than 30 yards, and most where around 20 yards.

Thirty one yards at a doe facing me a couple of years ago. Even though she didn't go very far and I recovered her, it was a shot that I wouldn't take again.

i hita buttonbuck last year in the neck at 33 yards, this year i will be confident to 45
