That is some awesome country !! It can also be quite rugged near the Baldies, which if I recall are 14'ers as is Storm Peak (gee I wonder why they call it that ?)
The Castles are spectacular....

Elk in Colorado, gonna head into the West Elk Wilderness, and hope to arrow an elk, any elk, though I'd be extremely pleased with a bull, pretty much any elk will do. And if it's a bull, he's gotta be at least a 4x4, because of antler point restrictions, so that narrow down the "any elk" part.

I will finally get to hunt in September. I have never done it. I am heading down to NC to hunt with GMMAT. Then it is on to the VA deer season. I will take a 2 week vacation starting around Halloween. I might take a few days to go hunt in the Jefferson National Forest here in Virginia in December. I want to hike in deep and hunt some land that I have never set foot on as a sort of challenge. It will be fun but cold. I have to be prepared to hike in deep.

Beyond hunting my home state, my big trips are:
NM Archery Elk
KS Archery Deer (assuming I draw a tag)

Looking forward to your visit, Brett....
I'm pretty much here until Nov......then I'm off to rendezvous with iamyourhuck (Will) in KY for a 3 day hunting trip. Back here.....then BACK to kY in January to meet up with Gri22 for a few days. I'll go back in Jan, even if I tag out in Nov.
I'll probably add in another trip somewhere this fall, but those have my interest piqued, currently.
