My brother works with a doctor who's son hit a doe that ended up having three fawns inside her fully developed, none of them made it but they took the fawns and were getting them mounted in a kneeling position, which I thought was pretty cool and should turn out pretty neat.

Those are cool pictures, that is def. and exception to the don not touch wild animals rule, what is his plan for the little lady, keep her or try and release her at a later date?

Not gonna live without it's Mama either. It'll likely do just fine, but once it's been handfed, it's not gonna be a safe animal to return to the wild, because it'll get killed by the first hunter that it approaches thinking it's a "friend." I agree, they're not meant to be pets, but at the same time, there are many of them that are raised in pins all the time. Heck does Texas still have "WILD" deer???

I don't know if your buddy knows it, but you will have whipe the fawns butt with a wet rag to make it use the bathroom. If you don't it will die....I have had a few and never lost one, and its a tip that will help you for sure if you didn't know.

That's interesting. I knew that had to be done with very young kittens. Their mothers lick them there to induce "going". I had no idea that deer were the same way. Talk about your dirty jobs.[:'(]
