I put some pics up from my second jungle adventure in Suriname.
I went on a rivertrip to one of the famous granite mountains, Kasikasima.
We had less animal sightings than last year due to excessive rainfall, this makes the rivers higher and more creeks deep in the forest. So the critters don't come to the river to drink.
My next trip is almost fully planned and will take me deeper into the higher amazone regions.
here's the link, feel free to comment or ask dumb questions........

Funny how this is a hunting and wildlife loving forum. The pics that feature my girlfriend are watched 10 times more often than the rest of them.
Could there be a connection.......

Live2draw, thx for clearing that up for me, I was thinking it was a swallowtailed kite but they are white, so.....
I didn't seethat picuntill I got home, must have shot them with bad light conditions.
next year we're going in the dry season, I'll have much more chances of spotting more than when it's wet.
Snakes are very difficult to spot in Suriname, I seem to miss them by a day or two.
Last visit in 2008 they had found a rainbow anaconda stuck in the inlet of a electric power dam. It died in there but they shipped it to the city because it was over 6 meters.
I flew in with the plane that carried it out, so I didn't see it.
I've seen some green whip snakes and red ratnakes but that's it.
You can see some pics of last year on flickr.com, just do a people search on m9a9g9i9c.
