What he said there was incorrect. Fly-fishing is to fishing what trad archery is to bow hunting. It takes more technical proficiency to be accomplished, although many fly fishing"purists" are idiots who may have more talk than walk when it comes to actually catching a fish, and, have lost sight of what fishing is supposed to be about...perhaps again, like some hunters.

at any rate, godspeed Ted.

Oh man this sucks. I like this guy. You know like him or not, you never want this to happen to anyone, let alone a bowhunter and just a good guy.

We should leave this at the top. Lets wish him well and a speedy recovery.

+1 A year ago the issue was gun hunters posting their kills in archery section. He picks up a stick and string and now compound guys are targeted. Funny!

While Fred Bear and Howard Hill were my hunting heroes while growing up, You have to respect Barta for hunting the hard way, and IMHO, the only way.

Now I remember why I don't come to the bowhunting forum very often. Hope things work out for Mr. Barta.

I enjoy his shows and hope he returns to his show even if it's from a wheelchair. I'd watch even with the more limited scenarios.

I've read a few posts recently and there was no mention of changes in his condition one way or the other. Just general rehab.
