Took the Better Half Out This Morning
 

This morning, I went out with my girlfriend Bridget, my buddy Nate and his girlfriend Lauren. We had a pretty exciting morning...saw quite a few but couldn't quite seal the deal. We had a couple toms come running into the decoys but spook when they got about 60 yards out when they saw something they didn't like. THen we had a couple jakes come in later in the morning and Bridget got a shot off but just caught feathers! It was an exciting morning and it was nice to get the girls out to do some hunting!







Lauren set her chair up right on a nice cow patty in the dark and didnt even realize it untill it got light! :D

I've been hearing story after story of birds holding up this year. Mike yur girl must be real special if she's putting up with all the time you guys spend in the woods/field. And to even go with you some times. You got a keeper for sure.:D

Its always a good time when you can get them out...I have a blast regardless of what happens when the wife decides to go.

Nope...unfotunately I thought the birds were roosted a little further than they were and we got TOO close...im sure they saw/heard us pop up the blind. The two gobblers flew down and went the other way. Of course all the hens flew right into the decoys and hung around all morning, but they werent good enought to call in any gobblers!

Were headed out for her last time this season tomorrow. Not sure what the game plan is, but hopefully we can pull something off!
