I keep my cams out all year. I've seen a couple pics of bucks starting to show.

Mine are going out in the next two weeks. Have seen a few bucks with about two inches of antler.

I could have sworn I saw a buck with some nubs growing 2 days ago.

As soon as they start growing there antlers. LOL!

Around here, actually it was a few weeks ago.. There was a buck that had grew about a half inch of his antlers on both sides... So mid April.

Last year I had already started but this year I decided to wait until July.

By that time the racks will be developed enough to be able to tell something about them, and honestly the few months before season is what interests me the most. Antler growth and patterns.

For me it's more of trying to manage my time spent as effeciently as possible.

I don't have 'em all out right now but I am running a Reconyx and a CamTracker out therenow hoping for some turkey pix and soon... some fawn pix.

This Reconyx is just to fun to keep home so I just let it live out there.
