For me it is hard to believe that you would need to switch to left handed stuff espicially when your right handed just because your left eye dominant, to me that is jut not natural. I have 20/15 vision and am right handed and shoot right handed and see better with my right eye but am left eye dominant. I shoot left eye closed and can shoot 5-6" groups from 55yds with my dxt all day long. I can not see the reason behind switching all my stuff over to lefty!!!!!!

sigh

Didn't you read any of the information on the difference between binocular and monocular vision? Do you know what depth perception is? Field of view?

Those are the reasons people seek to switch to their dominant eye. Shooting dominant eye fixes all those aspects that closing one of your eyes causes.

Of course, you CAN (with a peep and sighting system most compounders use) shoot both eyes open. I don't know why people don't to be honest. Its focus- nothing more.

Now without the peep - thats a whole 'nother ballgame. That peep allows a person to focus using their non-dominant eye I've found. Without the peep, there is nothing to focus the non-dominant eye, and I've yet to be able to conquer it. Like shooting a shotgun - no peep, just a bead, and impossible for me to shoot right handed without closing my left eye.

Everyone is different, no doubt, but there are some things that do not change - like what is lost by closing one eye.

I am left dominate but right handed and it just seems more natural to shoot right handed . I shoot very well that way and see no reason to switch . I can pull back more pounds with my right than left so i'll stay the way i am
