Velcro? Its not that bad!
 

How in past years it was on alot of hunting items, now people are shying away from it. Some say its loud, yeah if you rip it open. But open slowly, its not bad at all. I have it still on some things, my release, pop up blind, and of course "The Limbhook". What are your thoughts???

The ONLYitem of hunting equipment that I own that uses velcro, not velco, aremy extreme cold weatherboots. They stay fastened from before going into the woods until I get out of the woods.
Other than that, NONE of my other hunting equipment has any velcro. It's waaay too noisy.I reallydon't care forthe stuff.

My release has it and I always put it on before going in so there's no noise factor to worry about. I wouldn't want it on anything I needed to get into or move very often though.

I use velcro straps on the release. Not an issue, it's on before I leave the house or truck and stays there til I get back. If its in the way I spin it around to the release part is on the back of my hand.

Only other velcro I have is on a tree umbrella. Two years ago just as I pulled it apart to hook to a tree, my son said "there's a deer" he was coming in at 25 yards and never heard it.

Yup agree, there should be NO velcro on anything made for hunting. If it's camo, no velcro.

I have velcro on my release,my best camo,my boots, tree umbrella, the pads for a couple of stands. Never had a problem with any of it. If its too loud I guess I better not ever fart in the woods, I guess that would be too loud too. With my release I put it on at camp and don't take it back off until I'm back at camp. after I put it on I'll draw my bow to "settle" it in and thats it. NEVER had a problem with it making noise in stand. To those who say it makes too much noise is your buckle strap coated in rubber so you don't make noise when you bump it against your stand, or ladder, or riser, etc.?

I hate it on my blind. Trying to open up a different window while something is coming in could be close to impossible. I tried tohot gluemagnets in them but they didn't last long. Thats a great idea though. Sew magnets in it from the factory. That would be silent.

I have velcro on my release but I ALWAYS put my release on when I leave the truck so I don't make that much noise in the tree. Other than that, no velcro.

"The Limbhook" huh? http://www.mejiaoutdoors.com/ $13 for a hook and velcro? I recall you trying to push this item on us before. No thanks.

Im not trying to push The Limbhook, but I have Velcro on alot of my hunting gear. Not saying Im a great hunter, but I do kill deer every year. And the Velcro on my release, I put it on in my stand, along with my "bow hanger" and I take it off when I leave. But I take it off very slowly!!! I had a guy at a trade show tell me he will never use Velcro, and I asked him what he hunts of, and he said, "A Summit climber" , but he thinks Velcro is to loud???? It is just bred into some people.

i've had velcro on releases and camo before, and i can tell you never again. its way too noisy. besides, a buckle will last longer than worn out velcro, and buttons make more sense on camo anyways.
