I have a couple of releases that are Velcro.

It was never an issue for me.

I have a velcro release and it is really comfortable because it is padded instead of leather which can irritate skin sometimes

I hunted for years with a velcro release that made minimal noise while I was coming to full draw and it was never an issue. Having said that, I have since switched to a T-Handle style release and it is absolutely SILENT as I am coming to full draw;).

Anything that I would have that is velcro is put on at the vehicle - boots, release, etc. Once the strap is 'secure' (together), IMO - it's pretty noiseless....

Guess I'm not sitting in my stand playing with my velcro straps like some people must find themselves doing....

All you guys with velcro releases need to switch over to the buckle strap:D Its quieter, and its much more consistent b/c you put it on the same way everytime... double whammy[8D]

velcro release make noise when putting it on ? I have one and I don't get it .Buckle strap release stretches out and then you have to go to next hole.
When you go to next hole its to tight until it stretches out again.

I can't stand velcro, because it is noisy and seems to eventually loose its holding power. The release is a non issue, because putting ON velcro isn't the noisy part, and who on earth would UNSTRAP their release when a deer is coming in?[&:]

I try to avoid using it when possible, but it's not the end of the world either way.

I've got several items that use velcro and haven't noticed them scaring deer.Complete silence isn'tnearly as vital as being scent free. Next time in the woods listen to all the natural noises in the woods. Deer are used to hearing stuff. If you slowly release velcro, it's not much more than a whisper. I've had deer at 5 yards before and whisper to the camera man and never had them pay it any attention. I wouldn't rip open my release with a deer at 10 yards. I wouldn't install a limbhok with a deer under my stand. If there are no deer in sight, slowly releasing velcro ain't gonna make a hill of beans difference in your hunt.

Thanks Guys, See some like it and some dont. But we all have different ideas of whats good in our on eyes. I like it, and I will use it till I cant hunt anymore. "To Each, His Own"
