Back in my Pro/Am day tournyswe would have a $10 "donation' to a pot-usually 10-15 pro/open shooters.
50 yds at a 3" spot till 1 man standing-miss your out. Never won the pot but was very near the top. Oh, recurves-not compounds. Compounds we did teams & sometimes your partner might not be the best to be paired with. I "have" won my share in my day.
Iwould do the $50 at 40 yds.
OnceI am ready to hunt in the fall-I have 2 Broadhead arrows at the back door-I do 1 at 25 yds & 1 at 40 about every other day on a 3" spot-just a hair bigger than the scole can though.I am money ahead for sure.

I think many, well some are missing the point.
It's not constant grouping. It's one shot, cold at 40 yards. I think some are over thinking this.

You know, basically it's like a hunting situation. You sit there for 3 hours and Mr. Freaky walks by giving you a standing broadside at 40yrds. Pressure is probably equal, so, if you take the shot, then you should shoot the skoal can. Sure the vitals are larger than that, but lots of things can happen.
