Default Just A Thought.....

How do we know that these hunters that are on TV etc. are actually hunting the states they say they are?? like I imagine the terrain looks pretty darn similar from one state to the next... I was just thinking about that after watching this hunting video I picked up in Harrisburgh.

Ryan.

We don't know,

we don't know what state they are in or even if they are inside or outside a fence for the most part. Take video/shows with a grain of salt most of the time.

Rob is absolutely right. I watched one last year where the fellow was hunting "in Ohio" and was using a high powered rifle. That means 1 of 2 things: he was either not in Ohio, or he was hunting behind a really tall fence

You rarely see the people in the video talking during the fall, they come back and shoot after the season. I have learned this from a couple of Mossy Oak filmers. I dont think they would lie about states though, to many big deer in the states they are in. Now if they said Florida and werent on TDWW's land, but killed a monster then I wouldnt believe. [8D]

like huntingson ive seen alot of the same....

saying they were in certain states and definitely breaking major laws...so they were either not in that state or in a fence like he said...

like rob said, take em for what they are for the most part....entertainment.

and like oneshot says, most the videos are somewhat staged...they might shot the shot...but usually the pre-kill stuff is staged BSing in a tree...and after is too....how many deer die propped up on a rock or log??? no blood, tounge not hanging out etc etc....

i personally like when you watch a solid gut hit and they play it off as "a tad back but still in there and he aint goin far" and how it "dropped right there" but dont show it...its evening...then they show the recovery all stiff and deader than dead in the middle of the day....just admit it! you arent fooling anyone that pays attention!! sun angle doesnt lie....rigormortis doesnt lie...and you cannot play off a bad hit...a solid gut hit is a solid gut hit...but many try to fool the viewer for whatever reason....
