RE: Carbon arrow manufacturers

I have tried beamans a couple of times but for the life of me I can' t gat them to fly straight out of my current bow. I tried PSE' s and they fly great. I' m probably going to give those stingers a good shot though.

bigbulls, I hate to admit it ..........but the PSE' s fly great for me. Better than my A/C/C' s and I have the Dominators of all things ! [:o];):)

I also went back to PSE shafts because they fly better.

I am glad you agree JeffB.I was expecting to get blasted but maybe people are starting to be affected by the choices of big buisness.I myself am only working 4 days a week and heck,I am a tool maker with an associates degree in tool design. If any trade would have been safe ,I thought it would be.Guess I was wrong.

I am not saying trade is bad but when you keep coming out on the short end it is really bad.

IMO,why most of you get better flight out of certain shafts is meerly a matter of geeting a better spine match for your setup. And maybe a bit better tune. That is why I like the programs that will give you a correctly spined arrow for your setup. It really eliminates a lot of the quess work and saves you money and time.

Bigbulls

The first thing that I would suggest you do if you decide to go with the Stingers is to go to www.lancasterarchery.com and order some of their unibushing made specifically for the Stingers.Do not get Easton uni' s because they do not fit. Some will tell you to cut some off the back of the shaft but I can tell you from experience that it affects the spine of the arrow and they will not fly nowhere near as good as they do with the unibushings that Lancaster has.

The factory nocks are not that strong and I highly recommend doing this and using the Easton g-nock' s.I don' t think you can find a better or stronger nock on the market than these.

I once used Carbon Impact made in " France" until they refused to help us in Iraqi,
and now I use Goldtips " American made" .....They fly really well......

I also try my best to buy " made in USA" whenever possible. NOTHING in my archery gear says otherwise.
Where are these arrow selection programs?

DaveC,

There are a variety of them but one of the most popular is Tony Viroche' s (excuse me if I spelled his name incorrectly) " The Archery Program" . I believe you can find it at www.thearcheryprogram.com . I even believe that Easton has an interactive arrow selection guide available at their website but I have not personally used either so I cannot comment further.

I will tell you firsthand, Tony' s Archery Program is a great tool, and Tony is great to deal with if you run into any problems.

I have Archers Advantage and have found it to be a bit more user friendly but they are both great programs.Tony' s program is a bit more for the computer literate and I am a bit illiterate in this department.
