RE: anybody else ready for your states bow opener?

Seven months till season opens again. I got better things to do than worry about it. I have several other hobbies to pursue. Then there is 3D during the spring and summer. I even shoot 3D right now. Inside and out. I bowhunt maybe a dozen days a year or a little more. I ain't letting life pass me by worrying about those couple days. My life does not wrap around a broadhead tipped arrow. Although I've cut down on my shooting these days I still shoot maybe 5000 shots a year--- a half dozen of them with blades up front.

I am ready for some spring bass fishing and deer scouting. I am looking forward to taking my daughter out on the canoe for the first time. But to answer your question, YES I am pumped for the upcoming season!

I am more ready for May than Oct. I took a job that I will start after graduation in may on a 30,000 acre ranch. The ranch runs along the wa****a river in CW SW oklahoma. There are 3 irrigated circles of alfalfa and than about 7500 acres of other cropland on one side of the ranch. I went out and talked with the owner a few weeks ago and took a look at the ranch. From what I saw I am gonna need to work my butt off starting in may to even get a grasp on the deer movement across the whole ranch. But I guess you could say that I am ready for next season but realize that there is a ton of preparation needed beforehand.

My state's bow season doesn't open for seven months, I'm not getting worked up that far ahead.

I'm looking forward to this fall because I'll be in Illinois for a week with my bow at the end of October! So yeah, I'm ready for that.

On the other hand, like Greg said...I hunted very hard this year. For the last 2 weeks of the season I was at it twice a day. It wore me down. I've enjoyed spending some time out of the woods to make up for all the time I spent in the woods.

Now come this weekend...when it's 75-80 degrees...I'll have turkey fever!

YES!!!

I'm always ready for any Bowhunt. It doesn't matter if I've hunted 60 days in a row or I haven't hunted in 60 days. I Love it!

Right now I'm anxious to head to KS and try to Thump a couple of Gobblers.:D
