$350 isn't too bad a price for a bow even if its 5 years old especially if it comes with all the accessories. I would just check the condition of the limbs, string, and cams before you buy it. Make sure everything looks in good condition and also if your friend don't mind, have your son shoot it and see how he likes it... Good luck!

Is the quiver, sight, rest, and releases quality? I guess I am looking at from the stand point that you can buy a new Mission X3 for $350, another $100 in accessories and he would have one very amazing new bow.

I picked up an '04 model for a backup the other day for $350, but it came with a hard case, 18 Bemans and 6 Muzzys as well as all the accessories.

Go alittle extra on your cash and get a good quality bow for 500-550 bucks. Shop around and find out what is out there, a good website is huntersfriend.com
