"Trouble Free" Bowtech owners thread
#41
General limb failures were and still are less than 2%. BowTech did a recall by choice because they saw a potential for an actual failure. They stepped upto the plate and did the right thing. I say
to BowTech!!
I hardly feel like a fool supporting a company that does the right thing in a situation.
I believe in BowTech, and I have never had a problem. On the rare instance when someone has had a problem I have seen them taken care of ASAP.
I hardly feel like a Fan Boy because I believe in a Quality product. If you don't stand for something you are liable to fall for anything

I can find many other more righteous things to stand for than a piece of machined metal, cams and strings. Thats just me. Everybody has got to follow thier own lead I guess.

Previous to the recall I simply stated the facts on % of failures.
Were there Failures? Sure about 2%[8D]O and I do know For Sure!!
I have a buddy that hunted with a General all fall. I wanted to change his limbs for him and he hasn't let me do it yet. You can stand for what you want to I'll stand for what I know is right if I am in the situation to do so regardless of what it's made of or who makes it.
The more I'm on here the more I tend to believe what Len told me!
O I put 140,000 on my last Chevy Pickup. I guess I should be pissed though I had to put new tires, brakes, and a U joint on it. Actually3 sets of tires total!! Boy they were Junk

You ought to step up to the plate and tell us all on here what Len said. I am not sure what he has to do with this. Be a man, if you got something to say, say it.

That's a Big if!![8D]
You didn't see me on the other thread as you won't anymore on this thread, because sometimes you just need to hit the ITI button and move on.
I've just stated facts. I'm sorry if you feel like it makes you look like a fool. That was not my intention. I just want the facts that I know out there for others to read, and by the way not sure why you took it so personalI never quoted you.

I sure know I am not a fool. But I know its a tactic used in courts or anywhere else. Just shoot the messanger, try to belittle him, and now you have put doubt in all readers. Like you said, you don't believe any of our reports on AT or here are legit. You think we all go around dry firing bows, running over them and what have you.

The "fanboy" comment got me thinking:
I've got a bunch of Mathews clothing, I still wear select garments sometimes.
I've also got a couple of Hoyt shirts & a hoodie that I like.
I've got Bowtech shirts.
One PSE garment.
I've got a Slick Trick hat.
I've got a Rocket Aeroheads hat (before they were owned by TR).
NAP Spitfire hat too.
In 14 years I've gone through over 20 bows.
I've never been sponsored by any company,: I bought everything like most everyone else.
When I bought the Switchback XT Iwrote a little story.
And when I got a Switchback, same thing.
When I bought the Allegiance, another write-up.
Hoty Vulcan... another story
Hoyt Katera XL...ditto
PSE X Force, "" ""
Bowtech SWAT "" ""
I've always had the bow specs in my signature (from the get-go), regardless of brand, and I update them if any change is made (like anyone notices).
I'm a fanboy,of archery!

I mean why do you think you and about 10 others on here are bowtech staff shooters? I know why. I have discussed it with many face to face. And its good that bowtech has you on these forums to do a "job". You earn those two to 3 bows you get a year in spades. Just good business practices. Same with the staff shooters on AT. They are doing a job.

I KNOW most of these guys on the staff pretty well(barring a few of the later additions like Greg, Dan, etc)-and unlike 99% of the other staff shooters from other companies, these guys are STILL ON THE STAFF YEARS LATER.
You can see this on AT, at local shops, and local shoots. all these "pro staff" and "shooting staff" guys whore around to whomever will give them the next hot lick or trick. They shoot brand X for a year or two and then all of a sudden brand Y is the the next best thing and they hop on over there as soon as they see the opportunity. I see guys in my local shop now who preached the sermons of brand A to me and everyone else for a few years to the point where I wanted to drive a stake through the guys heart- a few years later I am back in the fold and he is shooting brand B , and A is the anti-christ.

ArcheryTalk's ranks are particularly filled with people like this- As an example- 5 years ago, everyone and their mother was on the Goldtip staff- I saw guys preaching BS that would make you vomit about Goldtip this and Goldtip that. Thing is Goldtip was giving out dozens of arrows and sponsorships like candy on halloween to anyone who'd put a decal on their bowcase or truck and yak it up on AT. Now, many of those same people have dropped GT like a hot potato and are on the next new "up and comer", Victory, and doing the same danged thing.
The Bowtech Corporate guys are a different mold-and the staff was meant to be that from the very beginning. I know cos I was there. Frankly, BT wanted a different kind of person- a different kind of staffer- they wanted people who truly believed in the products and that were fans already of the product. and had been shooting them and loving them. BT did not want nor did they pick the typical staff whore and sales person that is at the rotten core of this industry. FWIW- I know of some "big name pro hunter" endorsements that Bowtech declined on because, well, let's just say they are not BowTech's kind of people.
People change their minds, and people find equipment they like better. Of course. That's normal. And not to say that other companies don't have high caliber people on their staff, cos many do.
But lumping the BT Corporate staff guys on this forum (who live and breathe Bowtech and bust their buns on their own free time , whether it's helping people at shops, or shows, or shoots, or dealing with the flaming idiots on this or other websites). with your typical industry staff shooter whores who bounce from company to company to company is way off base. Hell- I even got miffed at Dan (MeanV) when I first came back here-I don't know him from Adam, and he rubbed me the wrong way on one thread with a comment he made, but I got over it- I know if Pat and the guys saw fit to have him on the staff, that speaks very well of his character. Rob and Greg/MO also were highly repsected people here long before their affilliation with BT. Calling them out as "doing their job" is B.S.
