Have you ever bought anything because of the online Advertising?
After looking at the site while I was away for hockey Part of me cant help but ask, Have you ever really looked at any of the Ad's on a website and said Yeah, That looks Legit? Ive never once seen an Ad that I was compelled to click..... Its the biggest waste ever IMO. So have you ever bought anything because of the online Advertising? Just curious how effective the Little things popping up all over the place on here work.

when it comes to building ar15s, I go to the forum I belong to and use their sponsor list as a valuable resource. When you want to shop around for misc. parts, there is nothing more valuable than having a list of places that all sell exactly what you want. I have never clicked a sponsor on this site however.

Any of you guys seen the one that says.. "CLICK HERE TO PLAY DUCK HUNT" and it has a deranged dog standing up out of the grass just hoping you'll click him?
I don't understand why someone would waist their time making something like that.

The internet is a great tool and many times I've looked for a product I search it out, weigh the good and the bad. Then make a choice.
Pop up Ads are Not Good and ought to be banned!![:@]

Ryan,
You make good points. BUT.
What you (maybe?) fail to realize is that the advertising sometimes creates conversation. The REAL "advertising" is in these forums and posts.
Also,
There are THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of people that visit here daily. They in all likelyhood are not as internet savvy as HNI Forum members, paying attention to the ads.
The advertisers pay for the Impressions (views), not PPP (pay per performance), except Google, which was already mentioned above.
Good post and interesting question!
