Yea, on my computer its fine, on others it takes a long time for things like pictures to show up. Its high-speed internet too so I'm confused. Oh well, its not that bad...

Edit: that being said, I hope it doesn't get worse.

We're working on migrating the forum software to vBulletin, which we think is going to be a pretty big improvement for the site. Right now we're just waiting for some hardware to free up. I don't have an exact timeframe, but we're looking somewhere in the neighborhood of a few weeks.Moving to vBulletin will give us access to more features, and it's a platform that we're more comfortable with as a company in terms of maintenance and performance optimization.

I know it's been a tough couple of weeks, but I think everyone's experience is going to improve when we're able to push this migration live. Thanks for your patience while we work on this.

One good thing is the majority of the deer hunting season is over, but I hope it gets alot better before turkey season starts. Otherwise there will be alot of mutiny going on.;)

i'm having to double click sometimes and pages taking a while to load and stuff . never used to be like this . where do you go if HNI not workin , this the only hunting site i'm aware of .

It sures looks that way to me as well... I have less problems with it early in the morning than I do later on as more people log into it.. I do wish whatever they do they will fix this place..

Due to the problems with the server handling multiple people, I have been notified that access to the site will have to be rationed out.
The following rules now apply:
1. All posts must be 20 characters or less; and

2. If you logon starts with:
A - C your time is 1:00 AM to 1:10 AM
D - F your time is 1:10 AM to 1:20 AM
G - I your time is 1:20 AM to 1:30 AM
J - L your time is 1:30 AM to 1:40 AM
M - O your time is 1:40 AM to 1:50 AM
P, R - S your time is 1:50 AM to 2:00 AM
T - V your time is 2:00 AM to 2:10 AM
W & Y your time is from 2:10 AM to 2:20 AM
Q, X & Z you have the rest of the day!

Hopefully, this will help the server keep up with the activity.

This kind of sounds like the new county employee rating system we "tried" to introduce this year. The county "thought" the system was flawless.......it turned out to have more bugs than Pamela Anderson.

Internet Brands, which owns HuntingNet.Com also owns Vbulletin. So the switch was coming sooner or later.

Honestly, that they screwed around with ASPPlayground as long as they have is a testament to IB for not wanting to disrupt things here. They are not our enemies.

We've had problems with this current forum software for years. Maybe you guys couldn't see it but trust me, it was no cake walk. (ask any of the mods how long there have been huge glitches that just could notget fixed)

SO.... I'm not looking forwardto another big switcharoo either, but it's either deal with it being slow or try something else.

So for now, keep hitting refresh and direct your agnst at more important things... like trillion dollar spending bills. ;)

Ya I found I use refresh alot!

And Chat is down for better than 6 weeks right before turkey season........

But we keep plodding along - hey go visit the stikcer contest Poll and vote! Got some real good entries by our forum members. The two who are administering the contest - JW! (me) and ArrowMaster (aka Kenny Hoggat) do supply the out come which is a sticker to all contest participants and it is free!

Am very pleased with this idea - have 10 sticker entries

In fact if the Archery forums are holding their own Spring turkey contest you might want to consider one of the entries.......stickers are cheap

vinyl - white on black or black on white thru sticker guy and cost is 50 for 250 stickers

Pm me and i will help if interested or just PM the creator fo the art you like.
