RE: What do you use to hoist your bow up to your stand?

I attach my bow holder onto the side of the shooting rail on my climber and just attach my bow to it while im on the ground and climb up. When I get settled in I move it from there to the bow hook that I keep in the tree above me.

I have an API gear reel and it has a clip. I just wrap the clip under the top cam and clip it back to rope.

About as easy as it gets.

One rope has a carabiner, the retriever I have has a clip like a leash, if it's daylight and there are no obstructions I'll attach it to the string loop. In the dark or with the possiblity of obstructions it's connected backto the rope under the cam/limb.

ORIGINAL: bowmanaj

The little clips on the ends on HS Utility ropes. Attach it to the limb, or attach the felt piece sectionI put on there to the cam, so I dont mess up the cam in any way.
AJ,
You're not going to hurt the cam any, no worries.

I use a piece of 3/8" camo rope and just tie a square-knot, to my top cam, making sure that my arrows are safe for the ascent, the other end is alread square-knotted to my stand at the time of hanging, and pull the bow up. I don't care for the carabiner/clips because of the noise they make (not that my climbing doesn't make noise) and the difficulty fumbling with them with gloves on.

I use the Huntin Hoist. It stays permanently on my climber and I clip it on my gun or bow and pull it up. It is retractable so no worries with dealing with ropes. One of my favorite accessories.

i use camo small rope from wal-mart.

i wrap floursecent orange tape around clip area so if i drop it , i can find it later.
i use orange on all my things, easy to find in woods if you drop it walking in or out.

I use a rope that i already have a loop on both ends .That way even though i am well versed in knot tyeing I don't have to do it in the cold or dark .
I put one end on the climber and the other i put the rope Thur the cam and either loop it back around onto the cam or i go down and put the loop on the stabilizer. Works very easy and is very easy to take off

RE: What do you use to hoist your bow up to your stand?

I put my arm through the bow, between the riser and the string and then climb up.

I always put haul-lines on each tree when I hang a stand, but rarely ever use them.

I f I do, I clip a carabiner to the wheel and pull it up, or loop the wheel and snap the litle clip(depending on clip type) to the line and pull it up.
