NW Florida Public Land Bow Buck!!!
I decided to bowhunt this weekend with only two weekends of rifle season left and it paid off with the biggets buck I've ever killed. It is an 8 point 15 inches wide with about 4 inch brow tines 6 inchG2's and 4 inch G3's. It is a really nice buck for our part of the world....... I tried putting the picture on here but it says file too large, any ideas how to put it on? The Story..... I went to a new section of woods I had never hunted, but my brother-in-law scouted last week. Sat in the morning saw a decent buck but a little out of range. So I moved about a 150 yards to where it was headed got set up about 2 o'clock in the afternoon and at 4:05 i got the chance to put ole' Tom on the ground. He popped out in front of me about 50 yards and worked through a thicket and came straight out to my right and at 32 yards I took the shot, slightly quartering away. I shot a little back because of a pine tree but ended up getting both lungs. I waited an hour and tracked him he went about 100 yards and fell with his horns tangled in some briars. Sure wish I could get the picture.
