I was reading the local paper this morning and read about the 220 inch deer that was killed on private land with a long bow was actually a huge lie. He killed it with rifle and a high fenced farm. The craziest part to me was he paid 12500 for the kill. Then he tagged it in and made the whole story up. The paper said he has go to to court over it and the maximine fine is $250 and 30 days in jail. What an idiot and its people like him that give all hunters a bad name.

Thats pretty low, takes alot of nerves to claim that kind of a kill, expecially when you know everyone and their dog is gonna be looking for the scoop on the whole deal.

Ridiculous is right and just goes to show why everyone is so skeptical when a monster is laid down and pictures are taken. Today, we can hardly trust anything we see or hear. That's one thing though about the power of the internet. It's usually rat'd out.

that is horrible, you think you would have taken more pride just telling the truth--from what pride was left. I would much rather just tell the truth and take crap for it for the rest of my life than lie and take even more crap.

you know what peeves me off more than the false statements he made. that he is only getting fined $250. for illegally taggin an animal. and what about the owner of the high fence hunt that allowed him to transport it out of there without a tag. whats gonna happen to him. Nothing probably.[:@][:@]
