My new Bowtech, is there a fix for "click"
#1
I just picked up my new Bowtech Admiral a few days ago. I have started messing with it and bolting stuff on.. While drawing it I've noticed a "click" noise that I really don't like. I think a deer will hear it from the stand.
When you draw the bow and it begins to break over the draw stop hits the cable. That is where the clunk noise is coming from. I was just curious if anyone had a fix for this problem?
I hope so..
Thanks

Have you narrowed down the click?
Ben / PA's 101 had a click and we narrowed it down to the rollers on the roller guard. We put a very small teflon washer between them and cleared it up. You can also contact your dealer. If Ben catches this thread, he can explain more.
If that's not where you narrowed down your click, please do so and explain.

My 101st has the samething, and it's not the roller guard. And it dosent click every time i pull it back. Like today i shot 20 shot and there was no click, but i could go draw it right now and it will click. I have no idea what it is.

Ben's would only click after he shot it. If you drew it and let it down, it wouldn't do it but it would after you shot. It's tricky to hear, the location fools you. It took two of us to find it so try.

Mines the same way, only does it after i shot it. I talked to Nick from bowtech and he said take the cables off the roller when i hear it and see if it still clicks when i pull it back. Well i still hear the click. Oh well, ill shut up now, this thread isn't even about me.

MO, I had to put a thin teflon washer between the two rollers. Be advised, you will have to remove the middle E clip, but it worked like a charm.

I just sent my new guardian back for cable rubbing and cam lean, andat the shop they were discussing other captains and admirals having a click. They were thinking it was something to do with the compression of the limb against the center pivot. I had a clear clicking noise on my guardian and chased it down to some bonehead at the factory had the top bezel so tight, I could barely get it off.
I am not sure if I buy the idea of the limb compressing against the center pivot, but I know on my commander and guardian, these centerpivots are free to move and the new ones are not. They could be on to something.
