sittin in my treestand today (for the first time in a month) when the sun came up. And boy what a glorious day it was. Like many of you other guys my season has been less than desirable for whatever reason this year. And early in Dec. i kinda decided to pack it in for the season and see what next year brought. So fast-forward to yesterday i thought with the ground fairly frozen i would go get my stands out, then i thought why not hunt one at a time and take them out afterwards. I seen neither hide nor hair of a deer today , but my stands are stayin right where there at !!!
Ever take that big of a break in the middle of a season that your next sit feels like your first of the year ?Thats a damn good feeling ! I'M BACK ! no more whiny sissy pouting about a lost deer blah,blah,blah its late and its time to get'er done

I learned years ago to just enjoy every minute in the woods and not worry to much about getting a deer....makes the hunt that much better to me....sure I still like the hunt but I like the time in the woods no matter what.
