Default Treestand Question

Anyone ever use the ruberized undercoating you can buy at advance auto parts or other auto parts store and put it on their stands to reduce noise and to protect from rust. I thought this might be a good idea.

Its more for protecting the climber from rusting but also it would make it more quiet.

I use it on the hook ends of my tie down straps that I use to secure the sticks to the stand.

Thanks, I swear by that stuff!I'll tell you what, there's a ton of things that can be made quieter using hockey tape. I even put some "CAREFULLY" on my release. I got tired of it tapping against things making that God awefulmetal on metal sound![:@]
