Some pics from my 1st bow season & 2008
2008 was a great year for me hunting-wise as well as in general, and with 2006 & 2007 being really tough years
for me and my family, I feel blessed and look forward to making more memories in2009. I really liked the threadswith
stories or pictures from people's seasons,(Rory, TEmbry,Shultzy's "doe season", and many others) so I thought
I'd sharesome pictures frommyfirstbow season as well as some 2008 favorites. I learned a ton thisyear, andI'll
have a hard time wanting tohunt with my shotgun if I can use my bow.
Below was my target this yearfor my 1st bow buck. Passed on some smaller bucks after seeing this guy in mid October,
but he was always one step ahead of me. Hopefully he's alive.

Groundblind-Field view... I set it up in spring andthe deer were definitely used to it byopening day.Had some great hunts out of it but never killed anything out of it, go figure I kill one behind a crappy makeshift groundblind made of leafless sticks

RE: Some pics from my 1st bow season & 2008
Thanks guys, I'm glad I found Huntingnet, its a great tool, especially for people who dont have anyone to teach them. Me and my brother are kinda going by trial and error with bowhunting, trying to adapt from shotgun only hunting. I'vegained a lotof knowledgefromHNI members..everything from asking about how to choose abow, tuning, and practice all summer, scouting, early and late season tips, etc.....
gri22ly-yea it was a great season. We just got this little farm last January and its a dream come true. We've never had our own property, so before this year, I was only hunting 4 or 5 days a year. spending the rest of the year thinking about being in the woods. Its definitely been the best year in the woods ever... Thanks again for that advice, it led to a great day
