The seat doesn't have 2 "indentions" that the bottom of the sticks set in? And the top of the sticks set on the platform where it is notched by the tree end? If so the sticks should snap into the back of the offset bracket and the V bracket on the sticks in the locations that I mentioned. Then wrap your strap around the stand and sticks in a figure eight.

Here is how I do it. By the way, I don't have my Assault straps attached when packing, just carry them in a pocket or small pack.....just something I do. Here is my Assault with 3 sticks. They can also be laid on the side, it really doesn't matter. Whats important is that they don't make noise while packing them in. 2 bungi cords work for me. I make sure the bungi cords are wrapped around the bottom of the versa button so they won't slip down while packing. Packs very quiet.

Lone wolf has countless instructional videos on their website about this kinda stuff!! Give it a look...I sometimes look on their website to apply concepts to products I have that they did not make....but now it obvious which manufacturer I'd go to the next time for that product.
